From a Village in Liberia
to a Global Mission
From the age of five to nine, I didn’t have access to consistent, formal classroom education. Growing up in my family’s small village home in rural Liberia, schools were few and far between, and resources were nearly nonexistent.
With limited options, my family made the life-changing decision to send me to the city in search of an education. Shortly after my ninth birthday, I entered the first grade — for the second or third time. But this time, I had a real classroom, real teachers, and the chance to learn.
Fueled by determination, curiosity, and a deep desire to grow, I began to flourish. That journey showed me not only the value of education, but how access to it can transform lives. It is why Legacy Academy International exists today.
Why Legacy Academy Exists
There are countless children in rural Liberia who are just like I was — eager to learn but held back by a lack of opportunity and access to resources. Legacy Academy International was founded to change that, one student at a time.
